
Barbara Forester
Barbara Forester, a 1999 graduate of the University of Oregon, holds a B.A. in Educational Studies and an M.A. in Educational Policy and Management. Barbara has been an elementary school teacher for the past ten years, teaching multiple grade levels: 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade, including two years of instruction at an international school in Costa Rica. She is a member of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (eMAST), which focuses on research based teaching practices that increase mathematics achievement for all students, for the last seven years. Currently, she is facilitating teacher trainings and collaborative reflection groups for eMast. Barbara has recently been an instructor for a class at the University of Oregon designed for teaching math methods to education graduate students. She speaks fluent Spanish and in her spare time Barbara is an avid runner, having completed three marathons. She also enjoys spending time with her family.
