The Teachers as Writers Institute is a unique professional development effort offered by the Oregon Writing Project in collaboration with the Wordcrafters Conference in Eugene Oregon August 25-27, 2017. Participating teachers will explore the craft of fiction writing with celebrated authors presenting classes at the conference. The Teachers as Writers Institute includes full attendance at the Wordcrafters' three-day conference as well as pre/post sessions conducted by the Oregon Writing Project (OWP). One additional Saturday session will be scheduled as follow-up to enable discussion of assigned readings and sharing of lessons and writing inspired by participation in the conference.
